With everything going on in this world and inside of us, it is very easy to get caught in the trap of thinking too far ahead into the future. I know personally for me living with Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, and Hydrocephalus, thinking this way only created more chaos than I already had inside myself and around me. So, I began living life a day at a time. I know that this is nothing new and is not a big miracle that will change your life, but I can say that if you attempt to live your life this way, life will seem a bit lighter, less chaotic, and a bit more optimistic on the days when life is kicking you in the ass a bit harder than others.
Step back, take a few deep breaths, and be here now.
Today I promise to live life one day at a time. I will step back when I need to and make a choice to focus on the positive rather than the negative. I have only one life, and I will make every effort to see that today is the only day that truly matters.
